Course Details
Alpha Safety offers Cable Avoidance training as an Alpha Certified programme or with NPORS Certification. Through the NPORS route students who successfully complete the training will receive an NPORS Card and Certificate.
This short course addresses both the theory and practical aspects of safely using a Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) and Signal Generator (Genny). Students will be taught essentials on how to use the equipment before a practical element where they will be shown how to correctly trace and mark underground service lines.
Training is delivered in line with HSG 47 for Avoiding Danger from Underground Services.

This course is beneficial to anyone involved in work associated with excavation. This includes individuals employed in construction and utility maintenance.
